I am looking to do the same - def want some info on this as well please
only prob I can see is finding the right tank to mount in the orig tank location (minus new mounts of course). then you can have a shop weld in a neck on the new tank, cut off the factory neck and splice em together with hose/clamps to get factory fill location.

Interested in putting a fuel cell in also. Anyone know how much work is involved as far as lines. I currently have a stock metal tank (98 car) with a racetronics setup. I would like to remove the tank and transfer pump and sender to the cell if this is possible. What type of lines do I connect from the cell to the stock lines? ANY help what so ever is surely help for me.
Thanks in advance!!

A bunch but it would accomplish what you wanted to do. We used to race a class that required a factory tank. They looked for the filler nozzel so we made the tank less deep and less wide to control the fuel and not have to run heavy to keep the gas where we wanted. You could baffle it if you wanted. This was on a different GM body style but I do not see why it would not work with some ingenuity and someone who can solder tanks well.

I should have an update in the next week or two - it's next on my list to get back to a rolling chassis. we all are on the same page with it requiring fabbing up ne brackets, right? mine will be a touch differnt though due to using an out of tank pump, and just a sending unit in the tank for guage reading. any of you fellas flat pan the t-top area?
