Guys who have installed a grant steering wheel, hub question...
Put on a Grant wheel today on my 99 SS, went OK but I did have one issue: When I tightened the hub down it bottomed out on the black donut looking thing and that part is stationary, so you can't turn the wheel against it. Had to loosen the nut and not get it as tight as I'd like it. I read where people have knocked out some of the yellow plastic to make the hub seat further, which I did. I did also install the supplied spacer. And put washers on the shaft so the trim ring wouldn't scrape the column. Its on and working, just would rather be able to really crank that nut.

the black tin ring that comes with the grant wheel will fit inside of the plastic part of the steering column, i trimmed about 1/4 inch off of the grant tin piece, then if you look inside the plastic housing you will see som reinforcement grooves that stick up. They need to be trimmed down so the tin piece will fit into the plastic part.....
