60' sucks... I'd go with a bigger converter (and different brand). It is hurting your ET pretty badly. You could be cutting 1.5s which would put you mid-high 11s.

MPH seems right on for your ET. Dyno numbers mean nothing at the track.

That mph is enough for 11.50 if the car's right. Converter would be my first thing to change. ATI makes an 8 inch converter that alot of people have run really fast with in the lw cam only cars, I think it's like a 5500 or something, put that in there and the car will fly.

If you don't think that's tolerable, at least a 4400 or so.

This only means that your computer is not properly set up for shift points.

Did you spin? What's your launch technique? Race weight?

The converter isn't optimal, but I think it's not the main problem. I cut low 1.6s with that converter with a stock motor and 3.23 gears.

i tried many launch techniques i foot braked it to 2500 and also just started from idle and nothing seamed to really change it much. im not sure of my weight but i have nothing removed from the car. if i spun off the line it was minimal i will upload a video of my run tommorrow.

4400 Yank AT MINIMUM.

Having race Auto cars for years, it makes a difference, Weight and Gear will factor as well.

sounds like the converter... in your sig it says "shift kit" I take it this is a stock tranny w/ only a shift kit? the trans could be hurt.

I'de recommend the SS4000 if you plan on spraying the car anytime down the road. I know what its like to have a setup that isnt queit right... my old setup, stock pretty much(lid, y-pipe, cutout and a tune) w/ just a trans and wore out vig 3600 went 12.3s @ 105.... et wasnt bad for mods but the car dropped 3mph w/ the converter from the stock converter.

Flash the stall off the line.

I.E.:

- Warm the tires up ( proper pressure, etc... )
- Hold revs at idle or slightly above ( I use 1200 rpm personally
- Do a "quick roll" into the throttle if the tires won't quite hold. Stomp it through the floor if they will

You *should* be able to get a low/mid 1.6x short time with the converter you have.

Practice, weight reduction, and gearing will go a long way...

With the 60', your weight, etc etc taken into consideration, your mph is about on for that ET. You could be running a much better ET though with a better converter. Might not be the only "problem" but it could definitely be upgraded.

PTC/Vig/Yank.. Minimum 3800 (IMO 4000-4400). Full out track car, 4400 min.

Car is prob 3500-3600 or so.
With minimal stuff taken out(spare, rear seats,AC,sway bar) of mine it was 3415 with me in it and its a heavier LT1. I make about the same power as you with ported stock LT1 heads and intake, so i think something is wrong with your set up or the tune is off. Also new stall will help a ton.
My car also went 11.68@119.44 on a 1.68 60ft with a lot left in it. Then I changed a ton of stuff so Ill never know how fast it could have gone. Car is also a T56 and spun pretty good each shift killing ET, never got a really clean pass out that set up.

Oh my old A4 LS1 always went faster with my shifting it rather than leaving it in 3rd

I agree the 60 foot is what is killing your e.t. The mph is good for mid 11s if the car is balanced better from start to finish. My Nova runs 114 mph in the heat but runs 11.40s with mid-upper 1.5x 60 foot times and around 395 rwhp. Likely a converter change to a higher stall and a transmission check/reprogram shift points will help you out.

Good luck!

Derek

Has any tuner adjusted the Torque Management? Silly question but we cannot assume.
