My 99' V6 build
Well just recently I decided to get off my *** and finally do a little something to my V6 I've had out in the yard for the past couple of months.
At first I had it fixed up enough to drive it down the road, but it had a terrible miss, smelled like ****, and has a couple of bad body pieces that needs to be attended to.
Well, nows the time for a perfect race car. So Yesterday I started to strip it down and I'm now to the point of where I can start cutting out all of the unnecessary things like brackets and etc.
I won't mention what I'm building the car for yet, but I hope to have it done LATE next year or EARLY the year after.
I don't have the big money to spend since I go bracket racing every weekend so I will do what I can to keep this updated and going....it should be a pretty good one though and I'm hoping to be able to talk to Shawn @ Virginia Speed this winter
So here's some pictures!

I'd like to get this thing going fast, but under the circumstances it will be a slow process. I just got back from a three day race. Got down to seven cars Saturday and Sunday in Super Pro, just before they start paying out
Right now the car will remain outside and I'll be limited to certain things I can do until then. We have, I guess you could call him my "ex uncle's" S10 that is going together.
My grandpa has been doing a backhalf job on it which has turned into a bigger project than we had expected.
Hoping to turn my 370CI into a 408CI this winter too

Damn, you should have kept the V6 in it and seen how much nitrous you could have passed through it!!!! I wanted to do that with mine, but the engine was completely seized when I got it home.

Scrape the Black Padding with a heat gun out of the T top area, it weighs a few pounds. Suprising. If you want to retain power windows all you need is the 2 leads and get the appropriate switch and you can use direct power. Remove the door skins for some of those Carbon Fiber ones, will give extra room if needed.
Ozite the carpet to get it looking stockish.

Me too I have the 01 and I would love to strip it down and dress it in drag but I bought a fox body with a 10pt cage already. It seems like it takes alot more money to do a F body suspension wise than it does to do a mustang. Plus you can reuse the 8.8 and not buy a new rear like you do when you start with a 10 bolt. I was thinking about selling the camaro to finance the race car but I may hold it for the future when hopefully more funds become available.
