Default Upgrades to the Camaro---Mini Tubs!!!

On the road to SEMA the race car is coming along nicely. Just got the car back from MTK's Welding and Race Cars in Roselle, NJ. Let me just say they job they did was awesome!

They put in custom mini tubs and cut out alot of additional weight. I didnt do the mini tubs because of tire size, i did it cause they look cool and knock some weight off.

Did mini tubs
Made custom gas filler neck
Fuel pump access door
Got rid of t top well
Got rid of spare tire well
Got ride of rear seat indents
Installed the Burkart Chute and put in the chute handle
And alot of small stuff i just didnt have time to do.

Can ya say 3000lbs race weight with driver

Check it out !!!!

Now its at Everlast Interiors to get a custom carpet, then its come back and we put the car back together and then its off to paint.

And yes the stickers are going back on the car.

Hope to get some passes in the middle of october. 8s here i come!

They did a good job with that, looks real good. I like the bead-roll in the trunk pan, how stiff is it with them in there? Should be pretty good from the looks.

Subscribed...Can you take some pics from under the car where the rear seat pans were? I'm planning on doing something very similar, also thinking about the mini tubs too. I'd like to run a 335/35/17 without having to flare my fenders

Looks great though, I can't wait to see how the interior came out

Hey! Absolutely Awesome Job!
I am setting up my 91 and this is exactly what I am looking to do. I was wondering if you have any additional pictures and/or information. Did you cut the notch out of the frame and did you have to get a different spring? If so, what spring did you use? Did they have to put it on a frame rack? Was the cage in before you cut out the inner structure?
Sorry for all the quesitons. I have found little info on the web for this.
Thanks!
-ryan
