so i finally got it to the track after 3 long years of build time. this launch was from a dead idle on an old worn out set of Hoosier 325's the stock rear sway bar just wont do it lol time for an ARB.

it went 6.60 to the 1/8th and it was dropping fuel pressure in high gear, not near enough fuel pump, mph was way down. but it did go a 1.40 sixty foot time without the trans brake.

I also thought DAMN he needs a drag bar!

VERY cool pic if you ignore all that is left on the table for performance.

Looks like not only a drag bar but chassis stiffening is needed. Maybe I am seeing major twisting that i am imagining but looks like the car is twisted like a shamwow being rung out.

lol all the twist is in the rear suspension. the body is more than sufficiantly reinforced. with a 7.50 cert and a full burkhart frame connectors and suspension. i was hoping the stock rear sway bar would hold it, i didnt want to go with a real stiff anti roll bar at first because i am going to street drive the car. but it appears that i am gonna have to go that route.

I have a drag bar, and i drive on the street all the time and it rides fine, I cant hardly tell if even on there.

That is good. The hood doesn't fit quite right so it looked like some twisting was going on. Glad to hear it isn't. If you cut that low of a 40 and want to look cool launching then maybe see what you can do without the drag bar. That sure is an awesome pic!

ya the hood hasn't been trimmed to fit yet it was thrown on at the last minute to get it going, that will be taken care of this winter when the car gets painted.
