135+ you need a window net (not often checked), so that = halo to attach it (no more 6point)

Can you mig weld chromoly?

something about heating the surrounding metal and then letting it air cool?

You can weld chromoly with a mig, but it will not pass tech. NHRA does not allow it... however in other industries, it is acceptable.

Well I def trust your opinion, since this is what you do for a living. I had just heard that multiple times in the past and just recently from a metallurgist. Which is why I brought it up. He also said the bars in a MS cage would bend more than a CM cage before snapping.

Ms will bend more, that's one reason that it's used in nascar

Eric, do you guys do the jig notching like Wolfe does if you pay extra? Seems like it makes the install much easier.
