My car won't 60' worth a damn!

My car won't 60' worth a damn!
Been to the track twice since the PT4000 install. Best 60' I could pull was a 1.73. A few of the times I would just spin, but when it would hook my 60's were in the low 1.7 area. This was on 26x11.5x16 ET Streets. Best time so far is 11.74@116 on a 1.73.
I've tried different launch techniques: stalling up to 2500, 2000, 1500, flashing, etc. Flashing is what usually spun the tires so maybe traction is an issue, but I figured the ET Streets would hold w/ the power I have. Any suggestions? Everyone seems to easily cut low 1.6's w/ this converter but me.
Mods:
TR224
LS6 heads
PT4000
Stage 4 Tranny
Stock 3.23's
Full bolt ons minus pulley
SFC's and LCA's
3500 raceweight

what PSI are you running in them? When i was cam only i left around 1800 rpms, rolled a second,, then went wot so they wouldnt break loose. That got me 1.55-56's on et streets with 22 PSI in them. Yes 22PSI
maybe thats cause i stuck with nittos for so long and cut 1.58-60's on those SI
just hang in there.. how was the track prep also?

Prep is decent, not really great on wednesday nights though (when I go).

rarely do autos need adjustable suspension to hook and weight transfer. make sure your psi is correct, make sure your track is good, make sure you are not spinning on the rim. that convertor and even teh small et streets should be good for low low 1.6 all day and break into the 1.5s not too hard. my convertor is best stalled up as much as possible. also sometimes low psi isnt a good thing. i run best on 21 psi hot.

Yah you want to flash the 'verter so that's the problem. You are still not hooking.
I'd get a set of front QA1/HAL shocks and then you should be able to hook better.
They keep the weight on the back tires during the run. Before I had them I would cut 1.55-1.65's, sometimes I would hook and then spin past the 60 that was frustrating.

I am having the same problem but i cut 1.69-1.63. I am putting on some skinnys for less weight up front. Dont get y but you have a bad 60 and still run faster than me. 11.8 at 115 is my best on a 1.69 60. And my car weighs in at 3550 with me in it and a 3/4 tank.

Yah, you have 11.4 potentially easily if you can hook some high 1.5's (ls1blackz28).
The cheapest way to add the shocks would be reuse your stock front springs. You can adjust them for the street, and then for the track. I went 11.5's with your mph on 1.54's.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I plan on adding some HALs this summer along with hopefully a tubular k-member. Since my car prides itself on the sleeper theme, I'm going to hold off on skinnies for a while.
Coach: I run at SAR here in San Antonio. Oh and my swaybar has been long gone for a while

also, it helps to stage behind the biggest badest fastest car there. Cause the tracks gonna hook good after he does his burnout Thats the case usually. At one of our shootouts we had 2 guys in a row break behind a 7sec car. Why? Cause the track was sticky after he was done
the less weight the better also and i'd try 20psi and lower from there maybe. Just try rollin or stallin up a bit. A dead idle flash wont hook on mine either
