Default Went to track today - Union Grove

Well this is the second time ever to the track with the T/A, first time was a week after getting the car, best time was a 13.6. With a 2.2 60ty.

I have since installed headers, hooker exhaust, no cats, Z06 18s which i know slow me down a bit =P. And removed the screen on maf. Also wanted to add that i didnt take anything out, have a system in there now, didnt remove it or the spare or jack. So next month going to remove it all =P

Ran a best of 13.2 at 106.15

.126
2.177
5.748
8.632
86.09
11.129
13.253
106.15

Just wanted to say some people at Da Grove are cool, but there was this one guy who i couldnt stand. He kept yellin at people and just looked like he didnt give a crap about anyone there. Also the track prep sucked, and it was freezing in Wisconsin, like 20 degrees colder then chicago.

But my main question is, did my car do ok for Pacesetter headers, Y-pipe no cats and hooker exhaust? And if i swap the back tires for Drag Radials and 16inch rims i should be in 12s all day right? Anyways thanks!

what was your mph before the mods on the 13.6 runs? Mph is more indicative of hp gain and e.t. is more about how good of a launch and how good of a driver. I know e.t. also has to do with hp too, but at times this close it's hard to really tell.

If you get your 60ft. to a 1.9 which is very achievable on street tires with practice, you'll have a 12 second pass.

As for the grove, the guy you are talking about I bet was the tech guy. Peggy the lady who runs the lanes is pretty nice once you've seen her and talked to her a couple times. Greg, the guy who's mustang is off to the side alot of times(blue '03 mach 1, or a '94 Cobra plates "NICE ASP") i've known personally for a long time now. He's a cool guy and always willing to help and give advice on driving techniques.

Good luck

I think you are doing pretty good. Practice is the key!

I went 13.09@110mph with dr's, airbox, lid, filter, headers, cats, catback and no weight reduction in my old 98 SS M6 back in early 1999 at GLD/ Union Grove.

I think you can get more mph out of your combo.
