Default Adaptive learning effect et?

After really thinking about it my car did something odd the last time I had it at the track. After driving it 2 hours to the track (6th gear cruising) the car consistently picked up a tenth in the 1/8 every pass. Went 7.40, then 7.30 and on to a 7.20 (last pass I made) I was actually running a quarter but on my 7.20 pass I actually 60ft slower than the first two, ran a better ET in the quarter having to let off In 3rd 4th gear. Is it possible that since the car constantly has the battery unhooked and it being seldom driving cause the car to need to learn itself out at WOT? When I do actually drive the car I baby it unless I'm at the track. I just don't understand how the car picked up as much as it did and with an even slower 60ft and trapping 3mph slower from letting out? Is it possible?
