Default Why am I running slow?

I have an 02 a4 TA with 2.73 gears, headers, exhaust, K&N CAI, and a shift kit. I've been running at sac raveway lately and so far my fastest is 13.64@103 60ft@2.23 that was finally on a cooler night and track was prepped better. I've heard some stock a4s running low 13s some high 12s. Is it because I'm on small street tires?

whats the altitude of that track?

I've seen bolt on stock converter cars go 12.30s-12.40s down here in the south @ 350ft elevation.

This is exactly right, when I was a 2.73 car with Lt, k & n and nt 555r I had 2.0 60's and ran a 13.2 @ 107 in my 98 t/a

Density is only 30ft so shouldn't be bad? I really don't know what's up she runs healthy has 113k miles if that makes a big difference. Maintained well and everything. Guess it's just the tires.

Here stock autos run 13.5 @ 106ish. Something seems a little off, terrible 60ft, low trap speed. It doesn't seem like your car is running right, unless youre boiling the tires off the line....so are you spinning when you take off at the track or is the car hooking good?

2.73s aren't helping either. With a 103 trap I don't think you'll see 12s.

The density was at best of 936ft and at worst of 1989ft that night not 30ft, was running at the same track same night. Like other people said your 60 ft is horrible so that's probably your main problem. When was the last time you did routine maintenance like new wires , plug, fuel filter? That **** helps a lot as well.

stock transmission?

back in the day my car went 12.76@108 with a lid, 02 manifolds, ORY, tune and 3.73 gears. I'm a porky fella, dunno the actual weight on the car but I'de say it was close to 3700lbs.

Yeah I have a stock transmission with a shift kit. I don't even weigh that much my car is probably about 3500lbs I would guess. I only run with like a quarter tank too.

Have you had this car tuned? Or any data logging to see if thiers any knock? With an ls6 intake and LTs you should.be running easily into the low 13s high 12s with a decent 60ft.
