1/4 mile question
Hey guys I remember reading in multiple places that for 1/4 mile runs an A4 is better than a M6??? Why is this???
A lot of my friends make fun of me because I have an A4 and I just respond its better in the 1/4, then they say how and I don't know how??? But I know I read it somewhere...
Thanks in advance

Re: 1/4 mile question
Normally the A4 will take off from the starting line faster than the 6spd. The reason for this is a torque convertor such as a vig 3200 or equal. However, with a torque convertor, you may have traction problems and may have to get appropriate tires and suspension components. The faster the 60 foot time, the faster the 1/4 ET. Therefore, consecrate on the sixty foot time and what is takes to max it out. Also, the auto will shift more consistently and want miss gear as 6spd. Also shift points can be adjusted by hypertech or custom programming. Cheers.

Re: 1/4 mile question
I wish I could be more specific on why A4's are quicker than M6's off the line, but from what I have seen and read, stock A4's are only faster 0-60. They are not faster in the quater, until you put in a nice stall. I have raced a few A4's with identical mods with my M6. Normally, they kill me off the line, put about a good car on me. But when I hit third and get to about 80, I start to pull on them pretty good. If they have like a yank 3200 I am toast from stop or roll.
