Hey George I think you and I have both seen enough gifts in bracket racing to know it's always better to be GREEN than .499 red. <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> Case in point: super stock eliminator a few nhra races ago, after 7 rounds Harvey Emmons breaks right off the line with a 615 reaction time and an 11.05 dial, and his opponent goes 478 red chasing with a 9.78 dial. Humiliating to be pushed back into the winner's circle? Maybe, but he still got the wally and all the $$$.

Either way you should lose.
At least with a red light you showed that you tried. With a 'sleeper' light you are hoping that the other guy is as slow as you at the light, he will red light, or will brake-out.
But I'd still rather be a 'little' late than red. I have hole-shot a lot of 9 second cars in bracket racing
