Default Making progress, still some suspension tuning to do, though.

Brian (Madman), I'll probably call you tomorrow (Thursday) to go over a few things.

With new tires and the LCA's in the stock location (removed the relocation brackets), the car is now sticking on footbrake launches. However, it is still having some issues on a transbrake launch that I need to sort out...

I made 4 passes tonight total. The two footbrake runs netted identical 1.35 60' times (still spinning a tiny bit), with a slight new best ET of 10.21 @ 130.3mph (6.46 1/8th mile). The two t-brake launches were 1.47 60' times, and 10.30 @ 130mph.

I'm going to Orlando Friday to do some more tuning...

I was just about to post a question to you George to see if you were coming down on friday. The weather down here has been AWESOME for the past few days so hopefully it will hold up. Been in the low 70's here in the early evening dropping to the mid to upper 60's by around 8:30 or so. I'll be at the track friday so I hope to see you there. We'll be the only ones there with TH400's with LS1's Now if I could only get these old *** ET streets to hook I'd be in good shape.

Yep, I do plan on making the trip tomorrow afternoon. What time do they open the gates on Friday?

Will, you should ditch the old tires and pick up some new ones. New tires work much better!

Hopefully I can get in touch with Madman and make some changes to the suspension so I can get the car to work well with the transbrake.

George,

They open the gates at 6:00 but If you are towing a trailer I'd get there around 5:15 or so because their entrance road fills up pretty quick and it overflows onto the main road with lots of traffic so there isn't much room for a trailer there. I need new tires bad just dont have the money for them right now. Bills suck. hehehe. Do you know how to get to the track? If not I can give you directions

Dave, I am happy with the 1.35 off the footbrake... It's the 1.47's off the transbrake that I need to fix Seems like the chassis is unloading really quickly as soon as the brake releases...

Will, I've been there a few times. I know how to get there. I'll try to leave here early enough tomorrow to make it kind of early (2.25hr drive from here).

I was at Gainesville last night and was amazed at how well this car launches! Definitely a badass car! Best of luck to you!

Damn good footbrake times! What kind of converter are you running and how much does it stall on the brakes?

Thanks guys!

Todd, it's a JW 8" race converter, rated at 5500rpm. To be honest, I've never actually just tried to see how high I can stall it footbraking. On a non-transbrake pass, I usually stall it to ~4000 on the starting line.

Scream, what kind of car do you drive?

I was at the track last night (BTW George, thanks again for all your help on the NGK's) and I'm glad to see the car hooking again. Give it some tuning and testing G, and I'm sure you'll find the combo for the t-brake!
