Default head and cam trap speed question

i have a 2001 ram air firebird. i recently had thunder racing install gtp stage 2 heads and 224 cam. i went to the track on street tires and stock 342 gears. i was spinning horribly. 60ft was 2.30 range. my 1/8 mile times were 8.9 and is usually 8.20. i know that is because of poor traction. my question is my trap speed before was 111mph and now it is 115mph. should it be higher?

There are about a million variables involved in trying to determine what your mph "should" be. The factors to consider:

-Your stock gears
-Weather conditions
-Traction (thoughout entire run...not just on launch)
-your driving ability

I'm willing to bet that the street tires are killing your mph. Without traction, you won't go anywhere fast, no matter how much HP you've got.

With my heads/cam combo on 16" GS-C's, I regularly cut 2.0-2.1 60 ft running 12.20's @ 118-119 mph, my best was 119.93 mph.
