Is there any way to remove welded-on SFCs?
Is there any way to remove some boxed SFCs and re-weld a set of chrom moly tubular ones in their place? Will cutting off the old SFCs cause any problems? Has anybody done this? Thanks a lot!

If all there are is a few stitch welds you should be able to just grind em with grinder until they pop(yes, most of them will POP). Please wear safety glasses and gloves with a long sleeve shirt if possible. OH yeah, a friend would help to keep the sfc from falling on your head.

I torched mine off for the most part and grinded down the welds etc. remaining. I saved atleast 7lbs going to tubular chromoly from boxed.
