Default takeoff

Hey guys, how can you get a better takeoff when street racing somebody? It seems like if you just stomp the pedal (A4) you would just sit and spin while anybody in a cavalier with stickers and a park bench spoiler would take right off. I know to warm up tires, yada yada. But should you just stick it about half throttle until you are moving enough to stomp it?

I don't have any trouble with my A4 and mostly stock car. (I plan on changing that this spring) I do have the GS-C's on it, but I'm not too impressed with them. I know 2 psi of pressure difference and they blow right out from under the car. Mine like to run 28 psi roughly.

The only way to find out how to launch your car is to go out and try it. Vary tire pressures and launch RPM/throttle tip in until you are consistent. And don't do it in front of the cops. You might just have a tire smoking oops to explain to him.
