Re: Video of fastest 10.5 tire car in the land Yep, Steve Kirk jr. has both 1/8 mile et/mph and 1/4 mile et/mph for 10.5 tires. His best 1/8 mile is 4.69@156.7 and his best 1/4 is 6.88@206.23. I've seen him run plenty sub 5.00 1/8ths at Rockingham. It is a 4th gen camaro. Red with white stripes.

Could just be some people bitching and making up stuff. Millen set the record in NMCA SS and they claim it was not "legal" because he has a hole in his front bumper. Like it matters

Steve's car is a baby pro-mod which is considered a back half car since the front frame rails are intact. Its not a full tube frame car.They are expecting him to turn the first 4.50 1/8 mile pass on true 10.5's sometime this year.

I see in these Q&A's that you ask those guy if their car a real backhalf cars. They say that they are. BULLCRAP. Steve Kirk says his is a real backhalf car because it is not full chssis. Why? because it has a little peice of stub frame rail up front. That stubb don't mean SH$T. Take that 5 pound stubb out and put a 2 pound round tube in there and you have a Complete full tube chassis. Tell me how that little peice of frame make any difference in the whole wide world. It doesn't. Back half mean only the back half of the car should be altered. Their cars should be called "back95%" cars. It's not fair to call these cars backhalf. Sure these cars are awsome and exciting to watch. But being $150,000+ cars they should be.
If they are REAL backhalf cars then they should be legal in NMCA SuperStreet. But guess what.. the only thing they have that is SuperStreet legal is a 10.5w tire.
All I'm tring to say is that a little piece of the front frame in no way make a car back half.
I beleive if a real True backhalf class is pushed it will be a much more exciting class. Their should be a Real backhalf and a Unlimited Outlaw class. Because all the cars should have their place.
P.S. I love to see the cars like Steve's and Gingrich. they are BADD AZZ. I just hate seeing them called Real Backhalf Car."
