Help with Race Seat installation
I am finishing up installing a Wolf Roll-bar and have some questions about mounting the Kirkey flat bottom seat to the floor and rear cross bar?
Are there any NRHA rules on how to mount the seat to the floor and rear bar?
I am planning on using the stock seat mounting studs, but not sure if I can legally use a custom aluminum bracket? Also, what is the proper way to attach the top of the seat to the rear cross bar?

I was always told you need to secure the seat in two locations (floor and rollbar). Any attachments to the floor need to be a structural piece (stock seat bolts will work).
I used the rear studs to bolt down the seat, then made a bracket to tie the front studs to the seat. I'll attach the back of the seat to the cage crossbar when it's done. Probably more than I need, but better safe than sorry, right?

I used the racetech brackets for the floor (attach to the factory bolts). I had a tab TIG welded to the crossbar and ran a 1/2" bolt through the seat and then through the tab. I have a nut on the back of the seat and one on each side of the tab. The seat ain't going anywhere.
