Futral is finishing my 11:1, forged 347, with a NX 200 wet shot. Should have some times within a few weeks.

I went 10.49 @ 129 with a stock bottom end, stock heads, a lot of other stock stuff, a medium sized cam, and a 100 shot thru a turbo 400 and 12-bolt. ET should've been better, but I was havin issues gettin the car to hook (she was initially hooking, but then unloading the rear and blowin the tires off), only cut a 1.53 60', I then bought the finishing pieces to my suspension, but spun a rod bearing before I was able to install them and get back to the track!

see sig.

3440 lb raceweight and a motor that we literally threw together. 3440 raceweight. Between finishing up college and finding a job in the engineering world I didn't have enough time to really get it dialed in. This year running more cubes and a completely different setup.....whenever I have time to finish it.

Thanks bro! It will be nice to play again.. The sooner the better!

It will be a basic basic combo, our 'Street Eliminator 346', Good Rod and piston, stage 2 head and cam, auto, 9 inch and then slap a juice kit on it.

Here's a post in my Toronto F-Body Club I started with some info..

Thumbs up

Big Mike's Cartek built Camaro SS (346, nitrous) went 9.40@142mph over a year ago, was the quickest 346 in the country at the time.

And another Cartek built 346 twin turbo (but in a Z06 Corvette) just went 9.0 and 152mph last night.

im prolly going to stick with 346 cubes.. i see 9's as a possibility with 346 cubes, but anyone can forge the motor and have somebody grind a big cam and port there heads.. seems with low cubes especially the difference b/t some of these guys running so quick and others not are there rearends and trannys and suspension setups, not to mention racewieght as a factor, perhaps ya'll could post ur whole setup in addition to ur 346 n2o times please, to help idiots like me pick a direction!

As far as I know Big Mike still holds the record for a little ol' nitrous motor. As mentioned above it's more than just the power that makes the car go. Getting everything working well together helps tons (suspension/drivetrain). I've gone 9.78 with my stock short block, a 175 shot and the raceweight is 3220. 1.3 short times sure help

I went 9.40 @ 142. I think that is still the 346ci. nitrous record.

346ci. forged internals, direct port nos, 3600lb raceweight, th350 w/ brake.

I'm sure that record will fall soon.

I hear ya; it's so much easier to say it than do it!! Truth is, my car doesn't have a bar or cage, which makes it very difficult to run below 11.50.
