Help or suggestions on how to get my car to 60' better.
Okay guys I am a little disapointed in my car at this point. The things makes great power but just will not 60 foot worth a damn.
The car is making 390 horse to the rear wheels and 377 foot pounds.
m6, ram clutch, good short throw shifter.
12 bolt with 4.10 gears (all most feels like to much first gear)
bmr control arms
spohn torque arm set a -3 degrees
315/35/17 nitto extreme drag radials
The car seems to lauch to hard I get to much tire spin, I have lauched it at 3500 or so and slipped the clutch out. It just seems not to love me I guess.
the car ran 12.65 on my last pass with a 1.99 60 at 114...
What can I do or adjust to get the 60 foot times lower or am I indriver error?
Is there a better tire to try? I feel like the nittos just won't hold the power they are getting any more is there a barrier to how well they work or what pressure to run them at? I just am at a loss and need any input.
Thanks
again.

I don't know jack about hooking a stick, but as far as the nittos...
Are you getting them hot? I mean HOT. John Force burnout is what you need. What pressure are you running them at?

Thats probably ur problem, tires like that dont need a huge burnout like people think..Many drag radials just need a little spin through the water onto pavement clean em off get em hot a little..I would jus back into the water, pull out onto the edge of it,dump the clutch hold it a second then launch up to the line..
But like 68 camaro said, grab some MT Drag Radials or something,u need sidewall..

If you heat nittos up they hook pretty well. The problem is, as stated, that you do'nt have any sidewall. A 35 series tire just isn't going to hook at the strip as well as something with more sidewall. For the track you should get a 15-16" wheel with M/T drag radials or ET streets. Nittos will hook better at the track than any other truly street worthy tire.

you need better tires. you have a 12bolt use it. i run 26x11.5x16 m&h racemasters cheeter slicks 1.5 60's from my stock weight m6 w/4.11's. www.intercotire.com .i stage to 5,000-6,000 floor and dump. i just ordered a new set 26x11.5x15 for my new welds. i hope for some 1.4's from the new tires.

I just got MT DR's 275/40 17's, going to the track Wednesday. Now I'm dumping at 4,000 RPMS and only have a 6-8' burn patch with a little bog after. Before these MT's I launched at 2,000 RPM's and spun all the way through first gear. These MT seem great. Let you know Wed.

Actually I need to dump at like 5,000, but I don't want to stress the rear any more than necessary since I have to return the third member to Strange because of a terrible whine. Also I've only got a SPEC Stg 2 clutch. I'd like to get to a SPEC stg 4, but I'm just hearing so much **** a SPEC's quality control, it kind of scares me.
