Default Driveshaft loop question.

I'm planning on visiting a local 1/4 mile track. Moroso motorsports park, and i know im required to have a driveshaft loop. Since this is a 1.5 hr trip from me, i want to make sure i am able to run. Right now i have SLP SFC's with the stock cross brace. One of my friends said a "tunnel brace" is considered a loop, and that i dont need to buy a driveshaft safety loop. I just want a second opinion on whethere this is true, and how strictly enforced are these rules?

BTW, i'm blown.

He's wrong and you may get by without slicks/DR's.

If it's an IHRA track you can get away with drag radials and no loop if your 11.0 or slower. NHRA, I'm not sure. Lakewood makes a nice one that has the best clearance out of all that I have seen. It replaces that tunnel brace, it's $50 from Summit or Jeg's.

Moroso is an NHRA track and is usually tough on tech, so unless you are running radials of some type and 11.50 or slower, add the driveshaft loop.

The tunnel brace won't do a thing if the shaft lets go. I dunno if a track might be fooled and let it slide for tech.

Honestly for 50 bucks for the Lakewood its a good piece of mind. Especially with any kind of sticky tire on a car with the stock aluminum shaft.

I'll tell you this, if you want the piece of mind get it, if not, moroso doesn't check! They'll ask you, so just say yup, got a lakewood, that's what i've done, cuz I never had one, but I have a lakewood now that i'm gonna put on just for piece of mind, just gotta shim it a bit to get it to fit, cuz when I tried to put it on, it rested right on the driveshaft and it was late at night so I said **** it i'm not in the mood to mess with it, but before the new motor is done and I go back out to the track it'll be on.

Damn, that's crazy, they've never ever looked under my car for anything, told 'em I had a JW ultrabell too and they took my word! I will have one on before I got out next time though along with a blanket! I also told 'em I had an ASP pulley on and they looked right at my stock pulley and said ok, hehe, funny **** man!!!

Not true, I've been to moroso, you need a driveshaft loop or you won't pass tech (I haven't been there in a while, but they can be pretty strict on tech compared to other tracks).
