Pics of cars with pinned hoods.
I know, I know, this isn't exactly on topic, but I tried this in the Appearance forum and didn't get any response. I figured the guys that frequent this forum might be able to help a little better.
I would like to see pics of cars with hood pins. I'm trying to make up my mind which way to go with my hood. I'm thinking either the Sunoco (with line), or a stock-style Z-28 fiberglass replacement. I want to pin the hood in the front, not only for safety, but also to lose the latch in the front for further weight reduction.
I want to see where everybody else is putting their pins. I kinda like the way they are on the ZL1 Concept Car.
Thanks in advance for any pics guys.

DopeFedZ, how much of a PITA is it to remove that pin-on hood when you want to work on the car? How does it do with driving around, especially on the interstate?
I've been thinking about the pin-on Sunoco, since it's cheaper, and 12lbs lighter than the bolt-on.

In my opinion the pin-on hoods suck.. They are nice as far as weight savings go and as far as being able to get the hood out of the way when you are working on the car. But think about all the times you are trying something new with the car. It gets really old having to pull over on the side of the road and "carefully" take the hood off by yourself and then find a place to put the thing. If you have a nice paint job you can kiss it goodbye cause no matter what you do or how careful you are you will scratch your fenders all to hell as well as the hood itself..
If it is a track only car then by all means buy yourself a lift off hood.. But, if your car sees the streets on a regular basis then I would suggest a bolt-on hood. Thats my .02

I actually found some foam packing material that will make great "feet" for the hood. They are about 2"s tall and shaped like a cylinder. Hopefully they will work out, they seem to take a good amount of heat from the heat gun.
