Default Anyone used a Turbo Action Cheetah shifter

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I like the way this shifter can be made to fit my stock console. Has anyone ever used one?

Anyone have any suggestions on a good shifter for a TH350 or Th400? I have no idea what kind of shifter would work best.

I haven't decided what transmission I am going to get, but I am thinking about a trans brake as well.

Thanks,
Kevin

The Turbo Action shifter is a very good shifter...my personal favorite.

Love my T/A shifter. You'll need to do some trimming, but it will fit in the stock A4 center console. I have the reverse pattern shifter, slap from 1st to 2nd, it moves over and ready for 2nd to 3rd. No misses, no slipping from 1st to 3rd

I love using it as well. Very positive shifting with no fuss or special locks to worry about. Works great, almost like driving a stick car without the clutch!

You do know that the Cheetah works for both TH400 and Glide with no changes. It originally comes with the block out installed.

What part number are you guys running? Summit has two different ones listed and they both have the same features, only one is 269 and the other is 298.

Does anyone have some pics of this shifter with and without the console? I have only seen one pic.

Thanks,
Kevin

A nice shifter, but I think the Pro Ratchet from B & M is a better one IMHO. Only moves one gear at a time with a short throw or pull. Can't miss or overshift a gear, so you can concentrate on the track instead of the shifter. Had one in the Nova for 8 years now and love it.

Just my $.02, and can be made to fit a console in an F-body pretty easy as well. My buddy has a 95 Formula with one in it

You posted a pic for me in your for sale thread. I am still looking at all my options.

The B&M Pro Ratchet is a great shifter indeed. I've probably put in more of those than all the others combined. In fact I just installed one in one of my cars this morning, CO2 Shiftnoid is going on this evening

I know it works with the glide also, but I'd rather have a neutral lock out to avoid
accidentially hitting neutral.

I'm probably getting a Pro ratchet.

no, I don't have any pics of them together.

Here is a pic of my Cheetah in the original six speed console. I love the built in transbrake button, and positive shift. It is worth every penny.
