Default Track guys...Carpet question??

What are you doing for carpet replacement now? I have read a few old posts about removing the backing and was wondering if that is what everyone is doing. My buddy has stripped his car for NMCA and was wanting to replace the carpet. Thanks

I jsut got some Ozite Flex Form carpet. 18oz a sqyrd and $14.95 a linear yrd (80") wide. Do a quick search on it, we had a pretty good thread going a couple of weeks back.

Yeah, I was reading that thread. It seemed like everyone was either buying their own carpet or removing the backing. Thanks

bought my own from a fabric store. weighed like 2-3 lbs. They had 20 different kinds of car carpet. I bought the thinest cheapest stuff they had.

I didn't feel like cutting my own, so I just took the backing off of the stock carpet. The carpet with backing was 42lbs, and after, it was 24 with it removed. The backing weighed 18 total.
