Quick google search brings a bunch of different answers.

One said,
1 gallon of gasoline equals 5.8 to 6.5 lbs

and another said 6.25

I guess it all depends on the area of the country your in due to the different blends.

JP-5(jet fuel) weighs approximately 6.7 lbs a gallon. So I'd say, around 6-6.5 lbs.

depends on the specific gravity of the fuel, water @ 60 degrees F is 8.125lbs. I use sunoco 104 unleaded and its speceific gravity is .746 so thats 6.061lbs a gallon to be exact.
