Default Pictures of my heater core removal

http://www.bbbracing.com/12secondv6/heatercore/

I did this several weeks ago and forgot to post the pic's here.

It was surprisingly easier than I thought! Took about 3-4 hours max?

Total weight was 45 lbs.

This was for:
heater core
a/c and heating ducts
firewall sound deadening
piping under the hood
misc screws n brackets

I'm spending a lot of time redoing the interior of the bird... guages have been moved to a/c vents..... carpet needs to be replaced.... passenger door panel needs to be covered... drivers side door panel needs to be completely done.

Also, my light weight battery fits perfectly where the heater core was! It sits right on the frame rail sideways. I haven't fabbed up some type of battrery hold down yet but I will post pic's when it is completely done. That alone will take the 13-14 lb battery right off the nose and relocate it right against the fire wall.

Ironically, looks just like my car over the past two days

Although I will have to say getting it all back together was a little difficult until i lined up the steering column

The gauge placement on the pontiacs are just so awesome!

With the passenger side air bag, and alot of that black plastic crap that is around the dash, i came up with 60lbs total. So there's some extra stuff there if you wanted to go that far.

I remember doing that. I got pissed and broke stuff out of there too.
Much cleaner, and I can get my big arm down on the passenger side to change plugs.
Tons more space to work.

I did not remove the steering wheel or drop the column.
I did have a Grant GT wheel installed though, its a smaller diameter than stock.

Depends on the temps outside, Its kinda cool here tonite in KC and my windows just had a hazing on em, nothing that would be a safety issue.
As long as the temps outside the car are the same as inside the car you shouldn,t have any problems.
I just don.t drive my car when its too cold.
