Default guys with no HVAC and stock water pump

what are you guys doing about the 2 heater hoses that go to the water pump.. are you plugging it or just routing it to the RAD. ?

Thanks,

Tyler

I remeber a post a while back where a guy found a pre formed hose at autozone that was perfect for bypassing the heater core. It was a u-bent hose with 5/8" on one end 3/4" on the other and just slid over the inlet and outlet on the water pump. Others just loop the factory hose.

I used heavy duty vacuum caps and worm clamps.
Has been working fine. I do check them over when checking the oil, tranny fluid, etc.

how tough was it to pull the pipes??

I've been thinking about doing it, I just looped it to get on the road. I want to go back and clean up the engine bay.

you need to take the water pump off the car and put it in a vice... Then blow torch the lips that go around the pipe (do one at a time) and then get your big knuckle busters out and start off trying to spin each pipe in its hole and slowly work it out...

takes about 5-10 min. on each pipe having to heat it and work it out...

then tapping it takes about 1-2 min each hole.
