Default ? for people who deleted there ABS unit

do i need to run a porportion valve for the rear brakes?? Just thinkin that i got skinnies in front and slicks in rear, you always lock up the fronts with the skinnies all the time, so will that compensate for having no porportion valve on the rear or will it still want to lock up the rears real easy still?? Anyone delete there ABS and run straight lines with no valve?

I have skinnies on the front and slicks on the back, and if I jab the brakes hard it will lock up the back first everytime (before I put the porportioning valve on). In fact I have yet to lock up my skinnies cause I would always start pumping once the backs locked up.

We've deleted the abs on a few now with no valve. I notice no differance without abs except for the annoying brake whine I used to get when the abs would kick in.

I used a propoioning valve. It's super easy to mount and hook up. For all of $40-50 I think that they are worth it. Although, I had to work pretty hard to get my brakes to want to lock up when I was out adjusting the valve, I was suprised.

I used the Billingsley abs delete block. No problems.

The proportioning valve is included in ALL our ABS delete kits. They can be of benefit to your braking system since you are able to bias front/rear brake pressure. Our most basic kit with the proportioning valve ALL fittings and preformed lines sells for 139.99. If you want all the bells and whistles including a LL as well as a double flare tool...we've got them at 199.99.

Not every car is the same, each car weighs different. Weight is located in different areas, different tires, calipers and brakes effect how bias needs adjusted.

with strange brakes in the rear and aerospace in the front I needed the valve, the rears would lock up way before the fronts. I suspect a little 'grabbier' pads in the rear but either way I had to cut back on the rear to even thngs out. If you are going to do it they arent arent expensive and may come in handy..
