the first time i blew mine was going into 3rd gear actually and it was a stock ls1, pacesetter headers and true duals. slammed 3rd and heard a loud pop, started coasting down and the rear made intermittent grinding noises. i stopped and looked and the cover was torn open and leaking fluid.

I broke mine at the track launching at 3500. The only mods at the time were LS6 intake, headers, y-pipe, catback, and Nittos DRs.

I broke my rear and the aluminium driveshaft, not at the same time though. Popped my rear leaving hard at a stop sign on BFG DR's and then threw my DS at about 130 mph on the highway damn thing almost went through the floor.
