Default "Need help" Wanting to buy and mod LS-1

Hey guys I just sold my "03" Cobra and I am wanting to buy a LS-1 F-body and mod it. I would like to buy a nice 98 a4 ta. From there I would like to start doing some bolt-ons. I was thinking 3.73 gears, maybe a 3600 stall?(is this to big for a car that I would like to drive a lot), full exhaust, subframe connectors, some intake stuff, a good tune, and I would like to stay away from it but I might put a small shot of nitrous on it. I would only be running a 1/8 th mile at my local track but occasionally a 1/4 on the road. I am only know 1/8th mile time does any one know what kind of times I could expect with or with out the spray. I am not set on anything so I am open to suggestions. Thanks for the help.

Alot of people tend to shy away from the 98's due to the perimeter bolt heads and the Pcm is a little differant than the later years.
I don't think a 3600 would be too big, expecially if you throw a cam in it

yea your on the right track. try to get an 01-02 if possible but a 99-00 will work fine. def. stay away from the 98's. i've worked on a few and have buddies with them, and they all hate them. the only big difference on the 01+ i it comes without an EGR & with an LS6 intake, the computer has a little better operating system also. that can be changed if your tuner knows how (except on a 98')

I buy and sell a lot (Pretty much I drove it for a year and was blessed with the chance to sell it and only lose about $500) and I really like my LS-1 car I sold so I figured I would find another.
