1st. Place in NMCA EFI Eliminator !!!!!!
No Problem Raceway was the latest stop in the NMCA series. I ran the 11.50 EFI Eliminator class, which is an awesome class for all of us EFI cars. It is a .50 indexed bracket class running a .500 Pro Tree.
Here is a quick run down of some of my rounds.
Round 1: Put Madman out, or a guess I should say Madman basiclly gave me the round. His car was just not running the number that day.
Semi Final: Took out the series points leader with a .502 light 11.52 (back pedaling on the topend) to his 11.55.
Final Round: Took out 2002 Champ with a .540 light 11.508 to his 10.08 (on a 10.00 index).
All and all it was a great 3 days of racing and a buch of cool guys in that class. I hope to see more people supporting this series and especially the EFI class. The only bad part of the weekend for me is that I didn't join the NMCA and run the contingency stickers. That would have getten me an extra $1000-1500 in my pocket.
Oh I did want to say thanks to Angie and Geoff for the Loan-A-Car, again.

Congratulations Paul!
Do you know what Madman ran Saturday night in the quick 8 shootout? I know he faced Merkel for the final and got runner up but thats all the update said on the NMCA page.

I can't remember the exact numbers but the car was off all weekend. I know he was having some serious electrical problems but he can chime in on the specifics.
Oh BTW Madman if you are reading, you ran off with Tim's battery.

Paul,
Congrats on the win. Your driving was impeccable. I was hoping to do a little better, but got beat by a better driver in the second round...Todd Merkel cut an .006 light against my .09.
Guido,
Madman spun against Todd Sat. night...If he could have hooked it...it would have been a fast pass.

I think madman spun bad to a 10.0 at 140 or something like that. I know he was fighting problems all weekend on his new setup. When he gets it dialed in its gonna be super fast. Tod ran a 9.3x at 149 against him taking the win for the EFI quick 8.

Great job buddy. Congrats on the win.
Thunder Racing does it again!
Hey, when is the next race? Maybe the Hot Rod will be ready for the next race. This type of racing might be my cup of Tea.
Congrats again,
Coach
PS. I will call this afternoon. :p

Congrats Paul the win was definitely earned. Tim Call me at the shop and I will see how to get the battery back to you. Maybe Coach should deliver it.
Thanks to Paul and Tim for helping out with battery chargers and batteries sat nite. I had a blast and it was worth running the class.

Re: 1st. Place in NMCA EFI Eliminator !!!!!!
Congrats Paul. I'm used to bracket racing, but I ran EFI when the NMCA came to Moroso in Florida last February. Was a blast, except for 2 days of rain, and after winning 1st round at 4 pm, waiting until 9:30 pm to see pat musi crash and they postponed the race! Was an interesting break from the usual bracket racing, and I could actually 530 lights deep staged on the pro tree!
Either way, nice job taking out the champ!
