Default Any other types of lightweight carpet out there?

What are you guys using? Right now I can't justify spending $200 on SpeedInc's carpet. Surely there's another option. Any suggestions?

I was able to remove 8 pounds from my factory carpet by removing the backing. It now weighs 24 pounds. Was 32 from factory.

I know the speed ink carpet is a lot but it does fit very nice. Talk about expensive..... a guy i work with had to get new carpet for his sons 96 prelude.. only place you can get it is through the dealership....they only wanted $450

I just installed the Carpet from Speed, It fit OK, it looks good, not as good as stock but once I get a chance, Im going to try some spray glue. If you keep the Back seats it will look fine. I installed the Uncut, and it was in a 6 point roll cage car so it took a while. I will be installing a precut into a full int car in the next couple weeks.

I put everything on a scale as I did it.
Stock Carpet/insulation= 38#
Light weight=15#
Light weight cut and some insulation ripped off=13#
I guess 25# isnt to bad. And the Noise in the car wasnt all that bad.

You can get rolls of thin carpet and it's like $7 dollars for a roll.

But go to any carpeting place and you will end up paying similar amounts to the Speed Inc. carpet since it's precut and molded.
