Default What kind of hood??

Im looking to run a liftoff hood on my 98 Firebird. Pin on to me looks like its not enough 4 pins. Whats the other way of doing it? Duz bolts/pins?. And do you have the body shop fab the mounts up or is it the chassis shop that does that?

you can make brackets out of aluminum to attach dzus fastners too,we used 2 inch by 1/8 flat stock.4 on each side were the fenders bolt up to.3 in the back under the cowl, and 1 in the front there is a bolt right in the middle of hood. The one on the sides are just straight pieces, and you rivet the dzus bracket to it.The ones in the back and front need to be bent up in a vise.Cheap and light,we did this on my dads formula, sorry no pictures.

We are a VFN dealer and have the ability to get you a hood set for Dzus fasteners. It will take a little work on your part to mount the channel on the car.
