Cage mounted switch boxes

JFYI once you're in the car and strapped in it is sometimes hard to reach up to it. I'm thinking of doing my painless box down by the shifter, also look into one of those big industrial buttons with the red mushroom buttons.
I like having one close to the shifter so if I know I am going to crash I can just reach down super quick and hit it and it'll kill the power to the entire car at once, instead of looking for a bunch of toggle switches to turn off.

Dragster, how do you like them?
I am 6'2 so even straped in I can still reach up there. I am sure they have one that has a master switch on it so I can just hit it. Thats the plan at this point
I would like a switch for Master, Ign, Fuel, WP, Fan, N20 arm, N20 fuel. Think that might be it.
May combine N20 arm and fuel and run a return line to be easier on the pump.

I'm also 6'2" 200 lbs + and I can reach both perfect. Some guys mount on a cross or X bar in the roof,
because they are too short to reach front bar. Whatever works. I always run 1 big fuel pump in all my cars.
So I use the 2nd fuel as the N2O arm, both stages. That way you can use the smaller box.
As said, you must run relays for as much as possible. I actually run 2 relays per circuit in parallel, in case 1 pukes.
I also like a switch for gauge lights, they don't draw much, but don't need them draining juice when they're not needed.
I run an air bleed return system for each carb & each stage. Won't run again without it.
The big Holly 500 moves a whole lot of fuel. Working hard, making heat. Stops the creep right now.
Anything else, ask away.
Almost forgot, the painless box has puked 3-4 switch's over the years. I keep spares in the trailer.

It is for strip, short duration only. As I said, it moves a lot of fuel. Pulls a lot of amps also.
If I was ever building a higher HP car for dual duty, it would have a belt drive pump.

My '67 has it dead center on the top bar, that's plenty comfortable for me.
My dads has it in the right corner on the top bars, it's perfect because with my arm fully stretched I can reach it comfortably... I prefer it over mine. I'm 5'11. If you want a pic I can supply.

I have thought about a belt drive but I wonder how much those like to pull fuel since I would still need the fuel tank to be in the back....
