Traction woes
I am having trouble with traction on my m6 bolt on car.
My set up is as follows 27x10.5 et streets 15lbs pressure,
hals 1 in front,3 on left rear,4 on right rear,no front sway
bar,15x3 and 15x7.5 convo pros,14 lbs in right rear air bag,
-3 degrees pinion angle on random tech torque arm.I started
leave at 4000, then reduced to 3500,ect until it boged at 1500.The best 60 ft time was i.83 at 2000 launch.I don't have the rims screwed so i am afraid to reduce tire pressure
any further.Car runs 109 mph so it has a little power but the 60 relly sucks.Does anybidy know what iam doing wrong?
Sorry for the long post.

Re: Traction woes
A lot will depend on the track prep. If they don't prep it, not much you can do.
BUT, you have the gears, you have the rear-end and clutch. Try lowering your tire's pressure. Go down a pound (instead of lowering your launch RPM's) at a time until you bog. Than raise it 1 pound. Make sure you are getting a good burn out. Weight transfer is a must. You can also try lowering your rear air bag pressure. Many combinations.
I ran ET Streets last year, usually setting at 12-13 lbs, front set at 2 and 3, stock rear shocks, 8-10 lbs in air bag. Our set-ups are similar. Launched at 5200, 1.7-1.75 regularly.
Another solution: move up to ET Drags

Re: Traction woes
Second gear burnouts for about 4to5 seconds, rolling out whole still smoking them.
I think the burn out is ok.I think i'll soften
the bag and rear shocks.I wish these hals were
double adjustable.Maybe drop tire pressure and mark wheel and tire to see if it's moving on the rim.The 2 step just showed up so that will help
woth consistent data on launch rpm also.

Re: Traction woes
My car seems to like 13 psi in the ET streets. ANy less and it doesn't seem to help too much. As mentioned above, track prep makes a big difference. My 60 ft times will vary by .2 on a bad track vs a good one.
