Great power! Can't wait to see it on the spray.

Can't say I'm crazy about the exhaust...does it sound better at WOT?

That's my buddy Rusty's car...I recommended him to ya Ron. I think it will make more power n/a now that it is broke in good. Rode in it last week with 700 miles on it and its a beast! Some 9 sec passes should be in his future!

as always .. awesome results from VENGEANCEracing
great N/A numbers and the 200hp shot should make a sick power
time to get real tires

Ron ,

1- any resons for 11.1 :1 CR ? coz i belive it would produce more power with higher CR
2- what if you went for 440ci with the same combo , do you expect a gain of hp as much as torque ?
3- was that FAST 102mm ported ? coz i couldn't find any offer of porting system for the 102mm intakes when i went through your website .

again , great job VEGEANCEracing and thanks for sharing Ron .

Thanks
Faisal,

Thanx guys!!! We were pretty impressed with the power the combo made... Like I said, Im sure things are going to be even better when we lay on the tune a bit more next week when the car returns....

ScreaminRed, Im not too crazy about the catback either. It does sound pretty sick when you lay on the go pedal though.... I think we have our customer talked into some DMH cutouts when he returns. Should make things a bit more interesting...

BadmanLS1, Thanx for sending Rusty our way. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I know his car will be at the track running as well so it will be nice to get some local real world results!! Thanx again!!!!

Hotrod98Z, This was our first time using AI cylinder heads. We were all very impressed with the quality of the work done. The heads look incredible and perform every bit as good as they look. Phil and the crew at AI and nothing less than true professionals. Excellent guys to deal with. We look forward to working with them on more of our LS7/LS3 stuff in the future.

Faisal, Thanx for the kind words as always!!! To answer your questions, we kept compression around 11:1 for nitrous use. Trying to avoid running race fuel on the smaller shots. In regard to the 440, Im sure we would have picked up a bit of horsepower AND torque across the entire RPM range... Shoot me an email. We will build you one and let you test it on your dyno ... The FAST intake was unported. We have not started porting them yet to see if their is additional power. We wanted to test the LS7 against the LSXR 102, but the customers LS7 had pieces of his original block in it so we didnt want to chance hurting the new engine

VenomWS7, you are spot on. This camshaft usually makes 530 to 550rwhp depending on the mods/dyno used. The AI heads/LSXR intake definately added some power to the combo. Time for your friend to upgrade ... Shoot me a PM and Ill hook you up with pricing on the AI stuff...

I talked with Rusty yesterday...He put the stock mufflers back on...the Corsa was way to loud. He said it sounds better now. He is gonna get the cutouts for the track and cruise quite with the stockers. Plus his y-pipe is a high flow cat style...so it should pick up a lot with the cutouts. Just hope his drivetrain will hold for a 9 sec pass!

Nice work.

It is nice to see that even with slight compromises to ensure reliability on n2o it is approaching its peak # by 6000rpm. I'm sure your customer must be happy with the area under the curve and drivability with a relatively small/moderate cam. Thank you for the kind words.

Pretty nice post Ron !!

Any speculation on how much porting the intake would add ?

I bet this guy is smiling ear to ear.

+1 on the DMH cutouts, mild when you want to be stealthy, and wild when you really want to be noticed.
