Default Bolt Ons dyno-graph

I dynoed about 2 weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to posting it. I'm pleased considering my car only has intake/exhaust and the clutch was slipping badly.

This is with the following mods:
Hooker Long Tube Headers
TSP True Duals
MTI Clear Lid
Stock 10 Bolt and stock 3.42 gears

On the Superflow Dyno it made 345 rwhp and 356 rwtq STP corrected.

Dynojet Horsepower is 364 rwhp and 375 rwtq.

I'll be sure and post my results after I install my FM15 cam this December.

If those dynojet #'s are correct thats very impressive for the mods you have. Thats with stock unported TB and MAF right? I'm assuming thats tuned right?

If those transitive numbers to the dynojet are accurate, thats not impressive its sick! Especially the torque. I am curious what that car is going to hit after the cam.

Keep us updated

That dyno is with the stock TB and MAF. I just installed a Shaner TB last week however. That is also on the stock tune. I couldn't ask for a better A/F ratio and I'm rather impressed the stock computer managed my mods so well.

That is the highest dyno I have ever seen with your mods. My 2000 vette did 327hp and 321tq with TPIS headers and vararam through 3:73 and Yank 2800 and I thought that was good. Those are sick numbers and good track times to back it up. You are going to be very close or at 400HP when the cam goes in. Do an underdrive pulley and you will be at 405-415. Good luck.............NICE!

Stock TB and stock tune..........When yout put the cam, pulley, and it tune it, you might very well be in the 420 range(wishful thinking) I bet you got one of those ringers with the LS6 motor. The heads say 243 DONT THEY!

Yeah I have never heard of any fbodies getting the LS6 heads from the factory, only the block which adds no power, just strength

Nice numbers, did you have it dyno'd on a dynojet or just make up those? Graph?

I'd have to argue the better crank passages would make a SMALL difference

Dont roll your eyes at me jackass. I was making a joke. Saying someone stuffed a complete LS6 MOTOR not BLOCK. I realize the difference.

OK ...i wasn't the only one who thought it wasn't a joke...it would have been easier to just say that you were making a joke instead of calling people names...

good numbers. you should definitely get a ported maf and a tune.. .the tune alone will give you 10hp.

just wondering if you like the true duals thinking about getting them

The shop were it is dyno'd has a very accurate correction factor to the Dyno jet.

How you may ask?

Well, they compete with in a race division where the cars they race must dyno under a maximum RWHP as read by the Dynojet that's at these races.

Therefore, this shop uses their dyno above and has figured out the correct correction factors so that when they race they won't be disqualified b/c they know, based on their correction factors, that they will be on par with the DynoJet that they'll have to be tested on so they won't be disqualified.

Here's what the shop owner said about the dyno and their correction factor that they use:

The DJ number is simply a number that SuperFlow, MD and the industry in general has applied to historical DJ results. DJ are generally 3 to 5 % higher than other STP/SAE corrected numbers. I don't have a DJ, so all I can go by is what we were given and what most all of our customers have seen.

We have worked on NASA sanctioned race cars and they all get dyno'ed at the track after a podium finish since their rules call for a max power to weight ratio.

We have seen the same results. IE. A 340hp STP car develope 350+ on the DJ at the track with similar temps, etc. Thus when tuning (or ballasting) a NASA car here we have to utilize those estimates to keep the car legal.

I love the true duals. I'll never go back to a y-pipe setup again.

He does. I don't think he had it on the dyno though. He did have it at the track where it picked up some good gains from the TB and weather.

Shaner? I know the AP throttle body rocks and at the price you can't go wrong. I was just wondering if he changed it out.
