Default Pulley dyno numbers??

Hey guys, what were your gains from an underdrive pulley? which do you reccommend? Just want to see if it's worth it.

Hey jrp how about a sticky for pullies? common brands with pros and cons for each or just the differences. Just something I was thinking about with all the pulley threads lately

Is that what you gained personally or is that what you have come up with from various results of others? I still need to get a pulley and ported TB and I was wondering how much it would help.

i have an asp pulley but no verifiable results from it. the .1-.2/10-12rwhp is about average gains i've seen over the years.

pulley and TB is ~15-18rwhp

Wow!!! I never thought a pulley would do that much!!! I put an underdrive pulley on my LT1 car, and all it did was mess up my idle. Thanks, for everyones input.

I have no verified dyno results to show but after I installed my ASP pulley I immediately noticed a faster revving engine along with better throttle response. It's one of those little need to have mods that works really well in conjunction with others. I noticed a way better gain from my home ported throttle body especially at higher rpms.

Man, I have a Spec 14lb Aluminum Flywheel too, I noticed a hige difference in how fast it revved when I installed it. The first few times I got on it I hit rev limiter on accident...I cant immagine it revving any faster....I'm definitely getting a pulley now.

hate to burst your bubble but ported TB isn't that good of a mod, and people acutally lose hp, best just to buy a bigger one

uh, right...

i've seen plenty of ABA test to prove that a stock sized ported TB is worth 8-12rwhp.

its the BBK 80mm and the like that seem to loose power or not gain much, go figure.
