Default Whats with all the 408's goin around.

seems to be the motor size of choice in the past year or so. are there any other new 408 motor's break in dyno records lately or what? whether its FI spray or na.

soon 408s are gonna be more common than 347s. What happens is everybody blows up there 347 going max effort on it, Then you are faced with a decision do you pay for another forged 347? Or do you pay an extra 1200 - 1500 and get a crank too slap it in an iron block and get all the extra cubes. Unless you want a sleeved block or want to do the ls2 / ls7 swap an iron block is the cheapenst alternative to big cubes and they make decent power which is why everybody wants one.

What I see is the same people talking about 408ci'rs.. I still cant count 10 of them. How many H/C 347ci'rs can you count?

Can't wait for mine to be finished. About another 3-4 weeks with the AFR225's. Then it will be up to 12. Mike thanks for not answering my pm I really appreciate that.

I'll probably build a 408 when I do a conversion vehicle or when the LS1 in my Trans Am dies (hopefully not for a LONG time).
