Default Please post up graphs/numbers with a 4000+ unlocked converter

Just curious to compare with others, 4000+ stall, unlocked, not any serious mods.

......mild bolt on '98 Z28 323/347 with stock converter unlocked

......... just switched to a 4000-4200 stall yesterday (for mods coming in a few weeks) and it put down 293/365 today............lol

Also noted that 5500 rpm with the stock converter was 109 mph on the dyno, and 5500 rpm with the 4000+ was only 99 mph....... 10 mph difference?

Curious to see other's numbers or graphs with really loose converters.

Red lines- stock converter
Blue lines- 4000+ converter

Blue=PT4400
Red=Midwest 3500

Mods: Stock LS6 heads, TR224 cam, Full bolt ons

My dyno numbers were always a bit high thought, so don't put too much though into it.

Do you have graphs with torque on them as well?

Looks like we need to make a pull with the converter locked to even see where we are at when adding future mods then?

Any more graphs?

I don't have a graph handy, but i made 356rwhp heads/cam untuned with the pt4000. Then ran a 11.39 at 117.7, and a best mph of 118.7 still untuned.

What was your race weight??

I put down over 400 and only managed a 11.6. Weight was 3520.

Never weighed it, I'd guess around 3400lbs though.

I got to the track tonight to see the real results of my converter swap.

This is a perfect example why "dyno bragging" proves nothing.

My 293 rwhp '98 LS1 did the following.......

... got to make 6 passes.........

12.48 @ 107.89 w/ 1.688
12.42 @ 108.70 w/ 1.662
12.39 @ 109.70 w/ 1.677
12.48 @ 109.25 w/ 1.683
12.49 @ 107.37 w/ 1.668
12.42 @ 108.69 w/ 1.673

Pretty pleased at this point, I no longer care what the dyno says......
