Default Dyno results full exhaust then pulley

I have had a lid and borla catback on my car for over a year. I took my car to G-Force in December for Kooks 1 7/8 longtubes and 3" catted Y and a tune. When we were finished we put on a pulley for laughs. Here are my three pulls of the day. The first run is with kooks untuned. Enjoy

Those are some good #s man "12hp from just a pulley wow" I did 346.98hp and 368.46 torque with lid, borla, kooks with catted y pipe and tune in my 2002 ws6 a4. G-force does good work my car is there now getting a pulley and afr heads put on it. Injoy your new found power.

I am shocked on a couple of issues. First one is kinda negative, here goes. You only gained 17 rwhp 20-21 rwtq when you added the 1 7/8 Kooks headers and tuned the car ? Seems like you either should've went 1 3/4 Kooks or somethings up. That is not a very good gain in my opinion for Top name headers and a spot on tune. Something doesn't add up for me.

Now for the second amazing thing, and this is positive. You gained 12 rwhp and 8 rwtq by adding a ud pully. That is awesome !!! Just wait until you notice that it takes a little longer to empty the tank. The ud pully helps you get a little better gas mileage ( at least on the highway ).

I really would've expected with the Kooks and a tune for you to pick up 30 rwhp and at least 30 rwtq. Maybe I am jaded by the LG Pro Longtubes. I picked up 30 rwhp and 40 rwtq with there headers and a tune.

So with pully, Kooks 1 7/8 headers and a tune you picked up approx 29 rwhp 29 rwtq

Not to bad once it was all said and done. Are you thinking about going with an aggressive head/cam setup ? I ask because you got the 1 7/8. Most N/A 346's don't need the 1 7/8 headers. Or were you going to spray a 100 or 150 shot ?? Nitrous will love the advantage of the bigger headers. Or so I've been told.

Please don't take my comments as a knock on your results. Just posting my honest opinion. I'll bet the car drives a lot better now that she's tuned and got a couple of mods.

Just curious, what size are your LG Pro Longtubes? The LSX style motors are in a class of their own. In years past I would have said 1 7/8" would be too big.

I think those are good #s for the mods you that you have and my kooks are all so 1 7/8 got a deal on them from g-force.

Um..your car is a factory freak. Congratulations. Those numbers are outstanding. My Camaro made 350/366 back when I had the same bolt ons. (my headers are qtp's)

LG Pro longtubes come 1 3/4"

Too bad they didn't have a 1 7/8"

Maybe in the future, but nothing but the 1 3/4, however they do offer the street series with a 2 1/2 X pipe VS the 3 inch on the pro's.

Not all factory tunes are equal. My car base-lined at 318/340 with bolt-ons and stock tune. After the tune I was sitting pretty at 350/366. It's all in the tuning. Perhaps your factory tune sucked even worse than mine did?

You can say that again brother. My 2000 FRC baselined at 300/300 to the wheels. Talk about a weak *** c5 Corvette from the factory. My buddies 97 a4 was 292/315 to the wheels. Seems odd his stock a4 outdyno'd my 2000 M6 on the same dyno, same day. So with that being said you are correct. My factory tune must have sucked ***. LOL.

sweet numbers...most guys pull those with small cams and ur doin it with only boltons...and the 377 torque is better than a lot of cam only and a few heads/cam cars...

Well that helps explain a few things. I retract my former statement. Your car did very well with the bolt ons you have. SWEET !!!

No kidding, you were probably right at 300 hp, so a 50hp gain on the headers, DAMMMMN.

That's from headers and a tune. Tuning adds some to the amount gained. Those headers would not pick up 50 rwhp on his setup. Tuning was probably 20 rwhp of the guesstimate 50. Not knocking anything here, just putting it in proper perspective.

Any way that you could overlay your 3 graphs to really see where you picked up. Sure I can scroll up and down until my mouse breaks but it would be easier to overlay them. Then it would be obvious exactly where you picked up power. You know in the 3-4000 range, or 4500-5500 range etc etc. Just asking, if you can't no biggie.

How does she drive now VS before when she was bone stock?? Have you pushed her yet to see how fast she is above 100 ??

The car just feels stronger in all power ranges. i never have traction in first gear so it's not really that fun. 40-120 sure is fun though i mean its pretty quick above 100 but ive only raced 2 cars up to that speed. ill over lay the graphs and repost. thanks for the idea

No problem bro, and thanks for not taking my comments personally. I don't mean any harm by them, just trying to be objective.

At any rate your car did respond well to your mods. You certainly did better then my car did. I picked up about 35 rwhp and 40 rwtq from base line with the addition of LG's pro longtubes and a tune. Added a 78 mm FAST (replaced ls1 intake) g5x3 cam, and re tuned and added 65 or 68 rwhp. Most g5x3 cam owners claim 70, not me. However my car did respond well to the afr 205's 59 cc asp ud pully, meziere ewp, ported 90 fast and ported 90 Nick Williams tb by gaining 87-90 rwhp. Not too shabby. I believe it was my stock heads all along that were holding me back. **** from the factory.
