I've got a guy locally with a GT500 that wants to race my Trans am. His is bone stock and I'm H/C/I. I made 452rwhp, 410 geared. He wants a dig and a roll. What do you think? I've got some ET streets for mine so my traction problems will be half way cured anyway. What do you think the outcome will be? I'm going to run him regardless I'd just like an idea of what I"m getting myself into lol
Well unless I'm mistaken, we make almost the same power, but you have that 4.10 gear. I'm not scared of a GT500. I don't know for sure, but aren't GT500s just a tad overrated? Don't they run mid or high 12s stock?
Take that GT500s heavy lard *** and give it a spanking (on video, of course)! And for the dig race, have you looked at Pimp Juice Traction Compound?

The guys best track time is a 13.9 lol. Its like a 07-08. I'm not real sure. The fastest I've ever seen one go at the local track was 12.9 and that was with some drag radials. My half bolt on Z28 runs 12.80s. Right now with my sumitomo tires my traction sucks. When I hit 4th at 95ish I break loose like I'm in 1st and where they want to race is about a 1/2 mile and up hill but he'll probably just as fucked on traction as I will be. hes got a SRT 8 jeep he wants to race my bolted and tuned 10' Cobalt SS in as well.
if you can drive, you will have prob's beating the 500. From a roll, he will hang, but once in 3rd gear the weight of the 500 will catch to him, you will pull away. the SRT8, dont dig race, he will lay it down on you for sure, unless your making real good power and know how to get out and launch that car of yours. At the track, he would get you first of half of race, the other half really depends on what upgrades you have on the SS of yours. If its making 80rwhp more then stock, you have a shot I would think, not sure

On the Balt I should be putting down around 320whp and I think stock is 235ish (260 flywheel). 1st gear has torque management instead of having my full 23psi of boost I only get 7. Its slow as ***** in 1st and then it blows the tires off in 2nd. The problem is where he wants to race. its up hill. I'm in a fwd manual and hes in a awd auto. I've got a line lock and some et streets to help me out on the T/A. A friend of mine had a lid only A4 WS6 that he raced the same GT500 with and took him to around 100 he said and then he passed him.
