Good machine engine shop for ls1 in ny nj pa So ive been battling an oil pressure problem since the 1st day my 383 ls1 had been built. Long story short a local machine shop built the shortblock for me. I did the heads cam etc. started it up had 3 lbs. after weeks of searching for the problem the front oil galley plug wasnt in so popped it in then had 80 pounds. Popped out on day and havent had good oil pressure since after replacing it would be around 18 hot idle and get up to 28 wot. So i blew the transmission and pulled the motor and tranny out same time. While the tranny is getting built im takeing the motor to a mainly ls shop to check over the bearings and everything. What are some reputable shops out there. Im willing tovdrive and hour or two. Im on long island

Check out MCP Competition engines in Lakewood NJ. They work in house at Tune Time Performance. MCP has built many LS engines including RobZ and Joe Dedonas corvettes!
