Hey everyone. Just joined because I need some advice. I have a 2002 Trans Am WS6 with 23K miles, I'm the third owner, and I've had the car since 2004 and 9K miles. It's white, has every option short of the CD changer, and my VIN starts with a 2, so yeah, it's pretty rare (1 of only 272 to come out the Canadian plant, according to Pontiac Historic Services). I need advice on two topic:

1) I'm running into dead ends trying to find more specific production numbers. Anyone know where best for me to find this info?

2) I live in central NJ, and I need to find a good mechanic. I need the rear end rebuilt, and the local GM dealerships in my area do not have a good reputation. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
