Default Kooks duals too LOUD

Anyone local running kooks duals that have been modified to not be so f'ing loud.

They were ok when the car was stock but now with a blower and cam the car is just way way too loud! I saw a few posts when I searched but would love some local info.

Thanks!

I built a similar set up for a buddy of mine, I ended up adding a resonator in the crossover pipe running from the passanger side to the driverside and I added two resonator/ bullet mufflers before the axle, that helped.

You could also go to a bigger dia. muffler that will have more packing.

That is loud. For reference, when you're standing in the front of the car, you shouldn't be able to hear the exhaust over the blower, at least I couldn't with my car.

I own the exhaust. My car is cammed. No cats. I can be heard exactly a half mile away from my house. If that helps any.

Threadomancer bringing life where there was none!

I'm debating quieting mine down, mostly replacing the mufflers with something that isn't see through. Anyone had any success with specific brand?

I read you shouldnt put them there because the headers need some room right after the collectors to flow correctly. I was a little worried because a while back people posted up large hp losses with the spiral flows but im pretty sure they had defective ones because many more people seem to be happy with them. Ive seen a pic of one of the origonal people to have to true duals having a resonator on the pipes in the part if the system right before it slopes up to go over the axel. I actually think that was the first version of the kooks true duals.
