Default 1SG option code?

Looking at a 1996 Z28. Car is a hardtop car with black roof but also has no power windows. It has the option code 1SG. I know that 1SC and 1SZ give you a stripper car but what doe sthe 1SG give you.

Looking it up in compnine it says only 236 cars had this option. Thats almost as low as the B4C package.

So what is 1SG?

1SG Preferred Equipment Group

A search turned that up on camaroforums through bing. It doesn't really say anything either though. Could it mean a person actually ordered what they wanted?

You would need to find a salespersons 1996 ordering guide to find out exactly what options the 1SG included. My 1996 Camaro dealer brochure shows 2 PEGs(preferred equipment group).
A preferred equipment group is what GM thought a lot of customers would want as optional equipment, just check one item( a group of options) on the order sheet instead of having to check every item. Being that they were grouped, they were also less expensive as compared to optioned individually.

I'll go see if if I have 1SG. I have a hardtop car, A/C, cruise, but I don't have power locks/windows.

my 1996 brochure lists PEG1 to have Air,Cruise,Fog lamps, remote hatch release, & power door locks. PEG2 has all those in PEG1 and power windows, remote electric sport mirrors, leather wrapped steering wheel, remote keyless entry system, & theft deterrent alarm system.
