Cool 2 cam swaps at Lashway - check out the progress!

We're slammed at the shop this week - aside from the other 12 or so projects going on, we have been blessed with two more cam swaps on two excellent platforms. The first, a 2008 G8 GT, the second a 2010 Camaro SS LS3...

Both are receiving custom spec Lashway cams, and supporting mods. The G8 is also having DOD deleted, and a Lashway Torque Converter installed (as well as trans cooler). He also purchased late model CTS-V brakes for the front and rear of the vehicle, so that should help this big boy stop after it receives its new found power.

The 2010 Camaro is in for much less, but will leave with much more of course!

Cam swap, dual springs, Lashway 3-pc pushrods, oil pump, and custom tune at our facility of course.

Here are some progress photos from the last two days. Stay tuned for more photos as they come in!

On the g8, you need to replace the dod lifters.

Those heads belong to the G8. He is having the DOD deleted which required the removal of the heads to replace lifters and trays...while they're out we swap springs. I just finished the Camaro dual springs ON car...what a PITA haha.

Here are some updated photos and videos from the week.

We finished the Camaro and delivered it to the customer today. Cam only, car made 474 RWHP/434 RWTQ! That is quite impressive given the fact that it is cam only. Vehicle also has OBX lontubes (uncatted) and OBX 3" catback exhaust.

Check out some photos and videos from the day:

Check out the vids!

The G8 will fire up tomorrow. We installed a nasty cam, and deleted the DOD system. We're also adding some Kooks longtubes, a Lashway Torque Converter, Tranny Cooler, 2010 Camaro 6L80 Trans Pan and larger filter, and CTSV front and rear brakes...a lot to do!

Here are some photos I snapped today:

Cam is in, and Melling oil pump is all set and ready to go. Notice the new 3 bolt cam gear and the new chain tensioner. We always replace that cheesy plastic tensioner whenever we replace the oil pump!

The Kooks were ceramic coated BLACK to keep the heat down. They also look badass buried in that engine bay...
