where to start
building a boost motor and im not sure exactly to start. its going to go in a street rod so im currently looking for a totaled lsi camaro or firebird 99+. i was hoping for about 800 whp with a tc76 or 78 at largest not looking for too much lag. im planing on building the bottom end adding some ls6 heads and a decent boost cam (high lsa). i was wondering if i was on the right track first of all and also if you would have any siggestions. another question i have is what do you guys do about high hp/tq tranies and rear ends. im assuming the stock rear end goes pretty fast and so does the trany. will the stock 10 bolt hold up after a build or is it the best idea to go with a ford 9 inch and a built powerglide or muncie. i know this isnt the best place to ask about that but i figure while im at it i might as well ask cuz u guys got the highest #s
thanks in advance for the input

800rwhp is running a TC78 slap out. Leave yourself some room....go with a PT88 if you have to have a T4, if not then move up to a T6.

i wouldnt want to drive something with those power numbers on a stock trans and rear. get forged bottom end and i agree that you dont want to be maxing out your turbo to get to your goal.
