Default twin turbo results inside....

I finally got some numbers from my budget setup. Heres the run down:

Truck manifolds with twin 57mm turbos w/ front mount IC
Forged bottom end 347
8.6:1 CR
stock 317 heads chambers CC'd to 79cc by TEA
ported TB
LS6 intake
02 LS6 cam
Yank sc3000
4L80e 2nd gear UNLOCKED!
& the good ole stock 10 bolt w/3.42s
straight pump 93, 15psi, & 16* timing.

It would hit 15psi then slowly back down to 14ish. Not sure on this. But Im very happy. I finally hit the 600hp mark. This will be fun on the street. HUGE thanks to Bryan Herter from PCMforLess for the tune

Hey, did you stick with the stock pushrods, lifters, rockers, springs?

I am going to get a set of 317 and maybe the ls6 cam also. So wanted to get as much info as possible =).

Congrats on hitting the 600 HP mark, now go play with some vipers! =)

No offense, but shouldn't that be making at least 700 RWHP or more?

I would have thought it would make more as well? No offence, Thats awesome power, but I got 590 whp from a 107K mile buick 3.8 with just heads, cam, ported intake a Pt63 turbo and a whimpy FMIC and 24 Psi boost tuned well. What were your AF's? Was there any knock count?

Very LOW compression and stalled automatic = 'lower than usual' dyno numbers but will assrape dyno queens on the street and track

Awesome numbers man! Congrats on the set-up!

But yea he should have done 9.5 .... but again, we dont know his budget and other variables. I think this is great power. 10s are in the future of that motor.

No. Not thru a unlocked 4L80e, stock heads and a LS6 cam. I wanted 600/600 with the converter locked then I found out my tuner keeps the converter unlocked for tuning so I'm really happy hitting 603/600 unlocked.

People I see on here making 700rwhp thru Autos, are NINETRES or "GOTV8" and they are running 370cids, AFR heads & a Nice size cam (compared to the little LS6)

Mightmouse was dead on with his estimate in my "What will it make thread"
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...883&highlight=

Once I can keep the boost from dropping, I'll be throwing in another 1 - 2psi. We didnt see the limitations of this motor yet....Boost wise

Not if he wanted to run 15+psi on straight 93 pump

Nice dyno. The HP curve looks awsome (ie flat) from 5300-6000RPM.

Killer numbers for an unlocked 80e, nice work!

Go to the track and see what it does. I predict some good times up there in the north

I bet it flys down the track, good numbers considering loss through the converter and biggish trans.

Thanks Guys! I havent even hit with 15psi yet. 11psi was a handful on the street.

BTW....we had to tune the car in 2nd gear. For some reason 3rd gets to 4400 and slips to 6500. My tranny guy is going to check the line pressure & stuff. Then I'll get it back on the dyno with 16-17 psi. However on the street, 3rd seems to be Ok. Although I havent done a full blast 1st to 3rd run. From what my tuner told me, I would have seen higher numbers if we could have gotten 3rd gear to hold.

Do you trust the 918s? I have heard a lot of stories about them breaking. Everyone seems to go the double spring route when going turbo.

I had 918s for like 7000 miles put them and cam in at 5000 miles. My car is low mileage car but still.no probem with the 918s at all.I don't hammer on them when they are cold.

Course have dual springs now in my new afrs.Agree dual spring is nice for piece of mind and turbo cars can use a fair amount of spring pressure. And roller cams not much worry of hurting anything from the extra pressure unlike the old flat tappet cams of days gone by.
